Congrats to our MANAGER of the YEAR, Amy Klocinski, the General Manager of our Richardson store. Definitely a deserving and well-earned award as Amy has been an integral part of the Café Brazil team for many years! She grew up in Richardson, attended J.J. Pearce High School and enjoyed eating at Cafe Brazil regularly with her family and friends growing up and thought she’d love to work here sometime! Amy attended Texas State University, graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Geography in 2016 and came back home to look for a job. Café Brazil was lucky to snap her up and she began her Café Brazil career at our Plano location as a Server and then Shift Leader and was pretty quickly transferred to Richardson as a Shift Leader. She climbed the ladder from Shift Leader to Shift Manager to Assistant Manager and ultimately General Manager of one of our most vibrant, popular 24-hour stores. She is also one of our managers that is directly involved with training new staff and managers for the future 2020 was a crazy year for all of us and Amy was an incredible team player that helped keep Café Brazil Richardson open throughout the complete shutdown, limited capacity seating, social distancing, and masking. During the total shutdown, she and one other staff member were able to keep our Richardson store open on the day shift and busily fulfilled all our delivery and carryout orders for several weeks!! Kudos to Amy! Amy is married to John and he’s been a help around the store on a few projects as he is a Mechanical Engineer. They own a home in Garland and are in the process of renovating it themselves in their spare time! When Amy isn’t at Café Brazil or working on their house, she loves to watch Netflix, play Pokémon Go and take care of their 6 cats and 2 dogs!! Amy loves our Bourbon Pecan coffee and one “perk” of the job is she can drink it all day long! She also enjoys the Spicy Chicken Sandwich and our Pancrepes. Stop in and congratulate Amy and she will certainly take care of you. Big cheers for our Manager of the Year Amy! |
